One of the largest manufacturers of all-wheel drive vehicle and heavy-duty vehicles in Russia
The history of the enterprise began on November 30, 1941 – on this day, the USSR State Defense Committee decided to organize an automotive and foundry production in Miass, relocatеed from the Moscow Stalin Car-Making Plant (ZIS). On July 8, 1944, the first truck rolled off the production line of the automobile plant. During this period, the company produced about one and a half million cars. Since 2005, the Ural automobile plant has been part of the largest Russian automotive holding company GAZ Group.
